A couple of weeks ago I got to attend Sarah Selecky‘s pilot writing workshop at Jennifer Schramm‘s horse farm just north of Toronto. Two beautiful, mystifying and occasionally frustrating days of working one-on-one with the horses and of discussing how these “big-body” animals can reflect our desire, resistance and fear back to us, and of writing in the long grass and in the ring and in the barn and in bed at night, when the ideas kept on flowing. That’s Lucky on the far right–he’s the one whose lessons I’m still mulling over. Thanks, Sarah and Jennifer! Thanks, Lucky!
